Original Nintendo Game Boy game Zelda: Link’s Awakening is being entirely remade for Nintendo Switch with a release date slated for sometime in 2019.
The news came today during the Nintendo Direct, which also announced games like Super Mario Maker 2 and a port of Dragon Quest IX, and showed of gameplay from the upcoming Fire Emblem: Three Houses. No hard release date was given for the remake, but the style is reminiscent of A Link Between Worlds, and the gameplay and traveling that was shown during the segment, which ended the Direct, looked very promising.
