The Hellfire Gala has begun! The bar is open, the fireworks are ready, and everybody is wearing their most head-turning outfit. Of course, AIPT had to get in on the action. We asked X-Men readers to submit their own Hellfire Gala looks as part of the celebration–whether that be of themselves, their favorite characters, or their original creations.
We have had some amazing responses, and we are delighted to share them with everyone. Without further ado, here are the designs for characters, and themselves, that people came up with:
Eri Figueredo’s Darwin fan-design

“Mysterious and reflexive after your Vault experience”

Kameron Youngblood’s ‘mutantsona’, Darque

“A full spread of Darque in a decidedly mutant X-semble.”

Saly’s fiery ‘Hot Shot’

“This is what I would wear to the Hellfire Gala. I use my own clothes as a base so most of the outfit is simple yet elegant. The cape is here to elevate the whole look. “Hot Shot” is my mutant name.”
By: Saly (she/her)

Angel Alexander’s celebration mix

“One-part Vertigo (OG Hellion); One-part Abigail Brand ( S.W.O.R.D); One-part Rupaul’s Drag Race, and shake vigorously in a Hellfire Gala cocktail shaker!”
By: Angel Alexander (they/them)

Spencer Davis’s alternate Wolverine concept

“My fan-design for Wolverine’s Hellfire Gala look. Here, Wolverine is wearing alternative attire, were he a main attendee of the Gala.”
By: Spencer Davis

Jamyr Laroche’s self-designed Gala guest

“My original mutant character with a list of their powers/abilities.”

Gabe Phayt’s stylish Stryfe

“Fan design for Stryfe, Chaos Bringer, Scion of the Dark Lord.”

Joshua Bruckner’s X-alter ego, ‘Swarm’

“Swarm has the power to communicate with and control insects, and borrow their adaptations with a touch. I’m dressed like a glittering beetle, cape included, and wearing insects as living jewelry. Butterflies and moths hold up the cape, bees form a necklace, and a Hercules beetle acts as the centerpiece. Note how the cape and outfit form a subtle X shape in the front.”

By: Josh Marsh (they/them)
Social Media Handle: @John_faun
Ally’s Hellfire experience
“I’d like to think my Hellfire Gala experience goes as so: I turn up, feeling good ready to party. Then, the inevitable drama happens, and I look on gobsmacked. By the end of the night, I am stood in the corner, witnessing the inevitable tension that comes with any mass X-gathering.”
