WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 full card and predictions

Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill (c) vs. Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn vs. Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 card, start time, how to watch

Patrick: I’m glad to see them finally do something with Fyre and Dawn, but unfortunately, I think this is just a way to get a couple of Scottish wrestlers on the card and not a sign of things to come. Bianca and Jade should continue their run here, but man, when Jade does turn on Bianca, the heat is gonna be incredible.
Winners: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill

Jay: The utter state of this tag division. It’s just a reason to showcase Bianca and Cargill at this point but they have no viable contenders. This will be a great platform for Alba/Isla, who seem to be transitioning away from their witch gimmicks and also Shayna/Zoey are there but I expect Cargill and Belair to take it.
Winners: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill

Shane: You really have to commend WWE’s attempt to get local countrymen represented on their non-US based PLEs. But, this will be an easy victory for Jade/Bianca.
Winners: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill

Sami Zayn (c) vs. Chad Gable for the Intercontinental Championship

WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 card, start time, how to watch

Patrick: I’m really looking forward to this match. I think Gable loses again, probably due to Alpha Academy disobeying Gable’s commands and refusing to do something nefarious to Sami, leading to further anger from the Olympian.
Winner: Sami Zayn

Jay: I think Gable has to take this at some point. I’d really like for Sami to keep it, but Gable can only lose so many times before the crowd turns on him. I can see Otis turning on Gable to set up a loss but then for the Creed Brothers to dispatch the Alpha Academy and allow Gable to take it.
Winner: Chad Gable

Shane: If Gable is set to win the IC title, it has to happen now. I know wins and losses really don’t mean much in the world of kayfabe as any one person can be reheated as many times as they need, but I really don’t think Gable can afford to lose again and keep the momentum and intrigue he’s been carrying. And plus, I see Sami winning MITB and moving into a main event slot down the line. No need to be IC Champ and Mr. MITB. I may be way off here, but that’s what my gut is telling me.
Winner: Chad Gable

Bayley (c) vs. Piper Niven for the WWE Women’s Championship

WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 card, start time, how to watch

Patrick: Much like the Women’s Tag Team Championship match, while I love seeing Piper get more of a spotlight, it’s completely transparent as to why Chelsea Green’s lackey has suddenly been thrust into the world title picture. Hopefully this can be a bit of a coming out party for Niven, who has so much more to give than she’s been allowed to do, but Bayley should handily walk away with the win here.
Winner: Bayley

Jay: Piper is gonna take 80% of this match but ultimately fall to Bayley. This will be a great moment though as Piper gets a chance to perform on her home turf.
Winner: Bayley

Shane: Bayley’s entire reign was more about the chase than the defenses, so it wouldn’t totally surprise me to see a Piper Niven victory here. But, I think it makes much more sense to keep the belt on Bayley for six-ish more weeks to drop it to Nia at SummerSlam.
Winner: Bayley

Cody Rhodes (c) vs. AJ Styles for the Undisputed WWE Championship (I Quit Match)

WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 card, start time, how to watch

Patrick: They are trying really hard to get the crowd to turn on AJ, even employing the Mark Henry salmon jacket trick, but I don’t know if it’s going to work. Regardless, ain’t no way WWE’s conquering babyface is saying I Quit, so expect the American Nightmare to walk away with the W.
Winner: Cody Rhodes

Jay: Cody is taking this. This will be a GREAT match with a great atmosphere, but Cody’s reign has miles to go.
Winner: Cody Rhodes

Shane: This is the match we should have had in Saudi… just saying. However, this is going to be another predictable Cody title defense, but oh what a great defense this will be.
Winner: Cody Rhodes

Damian Priest (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship (Judgment Day is banned from ringside)

WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 card, start time, how to watch

Patrick: I just don’t think Priest’s run has been all that great, and I don’t see what they could do in the near future to kick it into the next gear. Also, with the King of the Ring getting a title shot at SummerSlam, so Gunther has to factor into the thought process here. A rematch of last year’s SummerSlam only this time for the World Heavyweight Championship would absolutely slap, while I don’t really see the angle for Priest/Gunther. Drew winning in front of a hyper partisan crowd is a no brainer – imagine if CM Punk lost at Money in the Bank 2011 in Chicago, or if RVD lost at One Night Stand 2006 – and we can figure out the rest later.
Winner: Drew McIntyre

Jay: This is so hard to call. On one hand, the more Drew loses, the stronger he becomes and the better his match with CM Punk will be. On the other hand, Drew deserves this moment in the sun and people very much want Drew to win. If Damian wins or Punk interferes, they will be booed out of the building and it wouldn’t make sense to put either of them in this position. As Patrick said, this is very much One Night Stand or Money in the Bank situation as anything besides Drew winning will cause a riot, but then what? Drew vs. Punk at SummerSlam is in play if Drew wins or loses but if Drew has the belt, what about Gunther? Does he use his title shot at Bash at Berlin? If Drew loses, does Gunther face Damian Priest? Or does Punk not show up at Clash and cost Drew at SummerSlam? I think Drew takes it, but it is just a guess.
Winner: Drew McIntyre

Shane: This has been the hardest match to call on a WWE PLE since WrestleMania for me. I could seriously see this going anyway, which is relatively shocking since this PLE is emanating from Scotland. On one hand, I see Drew easily winning this match to set up Gunther/Drew II at SummerSlam. But, on the other hand is CM Punk. And on the other other hand is Gunther and his SummerSlam title match.  CM Punk makes this match much more difficult to call. If Punk vs Drew is the plan for SummerSlam, then where does this leave Gunther and his title match? One on one with Priest? Then that means that Priest will beat Drew on Saturday which feels like the completely wrong decision. I guess we could get a triple threat at SummerSlam between Drew, Punk and Gunther. I don’t think his KOTR victory guarantees  a singles match for the title? Gunther could either win or get his big moment weeks later in Berlin. Either way, I still think Drew winning is the safe bet and that’s who I am going with.
Winner: Drew McIntyre
