Independent wrestler David Starr has been stripped of his Over the Top Championship and TNT Extreme Wrestling Championship after multiple women have come forward accusing him of sexual assault and predatory and abusive behavior. It’s safe to say Starr will no longer be competing in these promotions, and is likely to be banned from other promotions as well.

Yesterday, a Twitter user named Victoria posted a series of tweets detailing Starr’s transgressions, saying he “mentally, emotionally, and sexually abuses his girlfriends.”

Starr responded to the accusations with a series of screenshots from his Notes app, apologizing to numerous women while trying to offer some reasoning for his actions.

David Starr has been an extremely outspoken voice in the wrestling world for progressive ideas like unionization of wrestlers and civil rights, so this news is disappointing to see. Starr is a frequent critic of WWE and their business practices, so he had already burned that bridge long ago, to the point where WWE encouraged European promotions not to book him. but now it appears he may have a tough time getting any other types of work in the wrestling business as well.
