A few months ago, toy reviewer Todd Ortiz (@_rektangular) managed to get his hands on leaked images of the Marvel Legends wave for Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse film. This week, he obtained even more images — including some new figures that weren’t shown in the previous leak.
Before diving into things, we’d like to note a couple of things to our readers:
- These images are technically spoilers for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. If you want to go into the movie unspoiled, then turn back now.
- These figures are based on highly stylized animated characters. If you are angry that they don’t look realistic, you’re missing the point — and that’s coming from someone who criticizes Hasbro at every possible opportunity.
Let’s start things off with the previously unseen figures. Rektangular was able to obtain these images thanks to an assist from fellow toy reviewer @displayedonce:
Cyborg Spider-Woman

While a kid’s toy version of this character has officially been revealed, the Marvel Legends Cyborg Spider-Woman is going to be a whole lot bigger (and presumably more expensive). Unfortunately, it comes in the new/standard windowless packaging, which doesn’t let us see the actual toy.
Jessica Drew

Not this one, though. The design looks great — definitely more practical than the comic Spider-Woman costumes, but with homages throughout.
These next figures have been seen before, but the images this time around are much clearer and closer. They weren’t able to get any pictures of Spider-Punk, but there’s a decent on in the previous report that you can see here.
The Spot

Despite my previous admonishment towards those who dismiss animated-style characters, I’m still not personally fond of this one. That said, I love the spot portal accessories that it comes with.
Peter B Parker

Still don’t love this design — especially with the lack of accessories.
Spider-Man 2099

Awesome.
Miles Morales

Just as great as the last time we saw this figure — especially the unmasked head accessory.
Spider-Gwen

Ditto with this wonderful-looking figure.
