Writer Joshua Williamson announced via his Substack Green Arrow is upgrading from a six-issue series to a twelve-issue series. The series launched this week with Green Arrow #1.
Fans of DC Comics will note this news is familiar. Poison Ivy was also extended thanks to high sales.
“It’s a childhood dream come true and I’m been able to do with an incredible team,” Williamson said.
Along with the news, Williamson shared cover art by Sean Izaakse and Romulo Fajardo Jr. Check that out below. It features the first-ever appearance of a character named Troublemaker. No word yet if she’s a villain or not, but she certainly looks threatening.
Williamson promised art will be released later this week for Green Arrow #2. That’ll be available in comic shops on May 23rd.
