WWE SummerSlam 2024 results: Four title changes and a huge return

The 37th annual SummerSlam is in the books, and it ended up being one of the biggest in modern history. Multiple new stories were set into motion as four championships changed hands, and the night was capped off by a massive return by a certain Tribal Chief. If you missed the show, take a look below at everything you missed:

WWE SummerSlam 2024 results

  • Liv Morgan def. Rhea Ripley to retain the Women’s World Championship
    • “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio turned on Rhea Ripley, sliding a chair into the ring to allow Liv to hit an assisted ObLIVion to pick up the win. The two kissed afterward, adding insult to injury for The Eradicator.
  • Bron Breakker def. Sami Zayn to win the Intercontinental Championship
    • Despite a valiant effort from Sami Zayn, Bron Breakker’s pure strength and intensity were simply too much for the Underdog from the Underground to handle, as Breakker wins his first title on the main roster.
  • LA Knight def. Logan Paul to win the United States Championship
    • Despite interference from Logan’s usual crew and even Machine Gun Kelly, LA Knight hit the Blunt Force Trauma to win his first title in WWE.
  • Nia Jax def. Bayley to win the WWE Women’s Championship
    • Tiffany Stratton ran down the ramp way teasing a cash-in of her Money in the Bank briefcase, but the distraction was enough for Nia Jax to get the win over the Role Model.
  • Drew McIntyre def. CM Punk
    • After endless mind-games from Drew, Punk, and special guest referee Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Punk cost himself the match by being too preoccupied with Rollins wearing the bracelet Drew stole from him to focus on the match.
  • Gunther def. Damian Priest to win the World Heavyweight Championship
    • In another devastating loss for the Judgment Day, Finn Bálor turned on El Campeon, putting Gunther’s feet on the ropes after Priest hit his South of Heaven finisher. Incensed, Priest could no longer keep his eye on the prize, allowing Gunther to hit a nasty power bomb and force Priest to pass out to the sleeper hold.
  • Cody Rhodes def. Solo Sikoa to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship
    • This “Bloodline Rules” match did not disappoint, featuring interference from the entire Bloodline, only to be countered by Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, and finally, a returning Roman Reigns who blew the roof off the place. The Original Tribal Chief hit Solo with a Superman Punch and a Spear, giving Cody the win and a nod of approval.
