It’s time for one of the most exciting nights in the pro wrestling calendar: the WWE Royal Rumble! This year, we’re kicking off the Road to WrestleMania from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The WWE Championship is on the line in a ladder match, the WWE Tag Team Championship will be decided in a two out of three falls match, and we’ll decide who will main event WrestleMania after winning the Royal Rumble itself.

WWE Royal Rumble 2025 will air live on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at a special start time of 6pm ET from the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

#DIY (c) vs. Motor City Machine Guns for the WWE Tag Team Championship (2 out of 3 Falls)

At Royal Rumble, WWE Tag Team Champions #DIY will defend their title against former champions Motor City Machine Guns in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match.
Despite his history with Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, Johnny Gargano chose his allegiance to Tommaso Ciampa over the tandem. The devious pair then came together and conquered the titleholders to become WWE Tag Team Champions for the second time.
Feeling that Gargano and Ciampa had been ducking them, The Motor City Machine Guns convinced SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis to make the 2-out-of-3 Falls Match.
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Championship (Ladder Match)

Cody Rhodes and the increasingly dangerous Kevin Owens will battle in a Ladder Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
The American Nightmare defeated Owens at Saturday Night’s Main Event, but KO shocked the WWE Universe after the match by delivering a Package Piledriver to the champion, leaving him medically unable to complete.
With Owens parading around with the Winged Eagle WWE Title and claiming to be the rightful champion, Rhodes returned to SmackDown on Dec. 27 to lay down the challenge of a Ladder Match, where both titles hang above the ring with only one Superstar able to pull them down and be the Undisputed WWE Champion.
Owens proceeded to attack The American Nightmare again after that announcement, showing that there is no depth that he won’t sink to.
Women’s Royal Rumble Match (Winner faces a World Champion of her choosing at WrestleMania)

The match will begin with two Superstars in the ring. Every 90 seconds, a new Superstar enters the fray. Elimination only occurs when a Superstar has gone over the top rope and both feet have touched the floor. This continues until there is just one woman left standing as the winner of the Royal Rumble Match.
And the prize? A guaranteed Women’s Championship Match when WrestleMania comes to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday, April 19, and Sunday, April 20.
