Dark Horse Books and Naughty Dog are teaming up to release The Last of Us: Part I and Part II Scripts, a massive 600+ page hardcover collecting the complete scripts from the acclaimed video game series. Written by Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann and Westworld writer Halley Gross, this collector’s edition also features a heartfelt foreword by Joel’s voice actor, Troy Baker.
Fans can revisit every unforgettable moment from The Last of Us and its expansion Left Behind, including Joel and Ellie’s journey across a ravaged America, and the emotionally charged, dual-narrative of The Last of Us Part II. The book doesn’t just offer the scripts—it’s packed with concept art by Hyoung Nam, a newly designed textured cover, and page-edge artwork inspired by the Cordyceps fungus.
Originally intended as internal development documents, Druckmann and Gross now share these scripts publicly for the first time, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at the philosophical and emotional roots of the series.
