Marvel Comics has released a new teaser hinting at what comes next after Avengers: Armageddon, and it appears Earth’s Mightiest Heroes may not emerge from the event unscathed.
Shared today across Marvel’s social channels, the teaser features a stylized Avengers “A” logo containing the words “Earth’s Mightiest Survivors.” Beneath it is a simple message: “Following AVENGERS: ARMAGEDDON, an all-new era of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes begins.”
Marvel also confirmed that a full reveal will arrive tomorrow.
The wording immediately raises questions about the outcome of Avengers: Armageddon, the upcoming event series by Chip Zdarsky, Delio Diaz, and Frank Alpizar. The use of “survivors” instead of “heroes” suggests the conflict may leave lasting casualties, dramatic status quo changes, or a significantly altered Avengers lineup.
The teaser arrives one day after Marvel released a new trailer and preview pages for Avengers: Armageddon, offering readers a closer look at the threat facing the Marvel Universe.

In the event, Red Hulk gains access to a machine left behind by Doctor Doom that allows him to see possible futures, giving him a devastating advantage against Earth’s heroes. As Iron Man, Captain Marvel, the Fantastic Four, and others prepare for battle, they find themselves facing an enemy who seemingly knows every move before they make it. The story also introduces a mysterious new hero whose power may be capable of stopping Red Hulk’s conquest, though Marvel has hinted that victory could come with a tremendous cost.
Solicitations for upcoming issues have already suggested the event will reshape the Marvel Universe, and today’s teaser appears to reinforce that idea. Whether “Earth’s Mightiest Survivors” refers to a new Avengers team, a relaunch initiative, or something even bigger remains to be seen.
For now, Marvel is keeping the details under wraps, but fans won’t have to wait long. The publisher has promised a full announcement tomorrow.
