WWE SmackDown is live tonight from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL! CM Punk returns to Chicagoland, presumably to talk about his decision to screw Drew McIntyre out of the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at the Castle and possibly an update on his health. Let’s take a look at everything announced for tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown:
WWE SmackDown card: June 21, 2024
Grayson Waller vs. Kevin Owens vs. Andrade (Money in the Bank Qualifying Match)
WWE’s official preview:
Kevin Owens is always up for a fight. He’ll need to be when he battles WWE Speed Champion Andrade and WWE Tag Team Champion Grayson Waller in a Triple Threat Match to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
Carmelo Hayes vs. Randy Orton vs. Tama Tonga (Money in the Bank Qualifying Match)
WWE’s official preview:
Randy Orton is set to take on The Bloodline’s Tama Tonga and Carmelo Hayes in a Triple Threat Match to determine which will qualify for this year’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
As a former Mr. Money in the Bank, Orton has proven he knows how to climb the rungs to glory. The Bloodline are arguably more vicious than ever, however, and animosity between them and The Viper is at an all-time high. Will Orton or Tonga prevail, or will Hayes take advantage of their issues and find a path to victory and the Money in the Bank Ladder Match?
LA Knight confronts Logan Paul
WWE’s official preview:
After seeking out Logan Paul for several weeks on SmackDown, LA Knight broke into the home of the United States Champion and took a little swim. Now that he is seemingly in the head of the titleholder, find out what will happen when Knight confronts Paul on the blue brand, this Friday at 8/7 C on FOX.
Cody Rhodes responds to The Bloodline’s attack
WWE’s official preview:
Moments after Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes overcame AJ Styles in an “I Quit” Match at WWE Clash at the Castle, The Bloodline initiated a post-match attack on The American Nightmare that quickly drew Kevin Owens and Randy Orton into the fray. With The Bloodline completely out of control in the absence of Roman Reigns, how will Rhodes respond to their calculated assault?
CM Punk returns to Chicago
WWE’s official preview:
CM Punk has been out of action since tearing his triceps at Royal Rumble earlier this year, but all of that could change when The Best in the World makes his return to Chicago this Friday.
At the Clash at the Castle: Scotland Post-Show, Punk stated he would provide an update on his health this Friday.
Punk has much to discuss, especially after his involvement in the main event of Clash at the Castle: Scotland when he sported a referee’s shirt and refused to count to three as Drew McIntyre was covering World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest for a potential title victory.
What news will Punk deliver?
