New ‘Blade’ series gets adults-only Red Band treatment

For years, BLADE has been the deadliest vampire hunter in the Marvel Universe…

Marvel Comics is on a tear with Red Band editions starting with their summer event Blood Hunt, then with Wolverine: Revenge, and today Blade gets added to that group. Written by Bryan Edward Hill with art by C.F. Villa, the new five-issue series launches on October 9th. The comic will have a parental advisory and come polybagged. Hill has been writing the main Blade series at Marvel since last summer, so it’s great to see him return right in time for Halloween.

So what’s Blade #1 about?

For years, BLADE has been the deadliest vampire hunter in the Marvel Universe. With an arsenal of wooden stakes, silver bullets and razor bats at his command, few have known the taste of vengeance of blood like BLADE! But after the harrowing events of Blood Hunt, what’s left of Marvel’s most infamous vampire? Did any of the vampire within Blade survive? Did any of the man? Find out here, at the skin-searing dawn of a bloody new Blade saga!
