Toy Watch: Marvel Legends Cyclops (X-Men: Warlock Series)

Have you been able to track down an elusive Marvel Legends Cyclops? We may have the solution!

If you’re a die-hard Scott Summers fan like myself, then Hasbro’s latest take on the X-Men’s deceased (for now) leader is a must-buy. Only problem is this action figure based on Cyclops’ Jim Lee-designed duds is proving to be harder to track down than expected.

I first spotted one at a booth at New England Super Megafest Comic-Con way back in April for around $50. Love me some Cyclops, but not that much. Besides, it wouldn’t be long before Slim was keeping the pegs warm at Target and Toys ‘R’ Us, right? Everyone loves Wolverine, not Cyclops! Right?

Well, it’s almost August and I still haven’t seen this Cyclops out in the big-box wild, save for one sighting at a comic shop with a $30 price tag – still too high. Meanwhile, Dazzler, Polaris, Sunfire, Shatterstar and even Old Man Logan are all becoming easier to find, which means, Scott is wanted by more people than just Marvel’s beautiful telepaths.

With newer waves of Marvel Legends figures showing up at stores, it looks like it’s best to order a Cyclops online. But where, and for how little?

Forget Toys ‘R’ Us and Target’s online shops – sold out! HasbroToyShop – he’s not even listed there. And the online toy stores are selling it more toward the $30 price range (even loose). Some prices may seem like a steal, but remember, mandatory shipping and taxes adds up.

Fortunately, I found one on Amazon for the low, low price of $25.07 (I know, not the already-too-high $19.99 I would prefer, but good enough). Check it out!

UPDATE: Looks like this article did the trick and people have snatched up that $25.07 Cyclops! There are still a few more buying options through Amazon, but they’re definitely on the higher end.
