WWE has been making big moves to try to get themselves out of the rut they’re in, including the shocking decision to bring Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman in as Executive Directors of SmackDown and Raw respectively, reportedly to operate in a manner similarly to how Triple H presides over NXT. The Paul Heyman era began this week and it showed. While Bischoff’s reign supposedly won’t begin until after Extreme Rules, it does seem like WWE is taking steps to right the ship.

Why is WWE so worried? Oh yeah, a company called AEW ran their second major show, Fyter Fest, this weekend. While it was needlessly violent at times, it was another great show from the nascent promotion, and can only be seen as a good omen for things to come.

Poor Taste Wrestling is hosted by JJ "Job Van Dam" Travers, Mike "The Wolverine" Pursell, and "HCK" Patrick Ross.
