Gina Carano, who plays rebel-turned-mercenary Cara Dune on The Mandalorian, posted a photo to Instagram on March 6 celebrating her last day on set.
Whether this was just her last day on set or the last day for all of Season 2 isn’t clear, but it likely means that the Disney+ series is very close to preproduction and well on track to make its October 2020 debut.
Carano also posted something the same day to Twitter that was a bit disconcerting for Cara Dune fans like myself.
Much as I appreciate a reference to Star Wars’ Pink Shorts Boom Guy, Carano saying that “it’s been a pleasure” working with the crew of The Mandalorian feels a little too past tense for my taste.
Guess we’ll have to wait until this fall to see if Cara Dune survives the series’ second season.
