Triple H will assume control of creative in WWE along with existing responsibilities

The Game is acquiring more responsibilities within WWE in his father-in-law’s absence.

Paul “Triple H” Levesque will assume all responsibilities related to WWE creative, the company confirmed to Fightful this morning. Sean Ross Sapp posted two tweets that read:

Triple H will assume all responsibilities related to WWE creative, in addition to his regular duties, per WWE

WWE have confirmed to Fightful and clarified that Triple H specifically is heading up the creative within the company

This news comes in a period of unprecedented flux in WWE’s corporate structure following the abrupt retirement of chairman Vince McMahon Friday. Triple H returned to his position as Executive Vice President of Talent Relations on Friday after a health scare last year forced him to take a hiatus (and ultimately retire from in-ring competition).

For a time, it appeared as if Triple H’s odds of inheriting major power within WWE were waning, but now that he is EVP of Talent Relations, head of creative, and his wife is co-CEO of the company, The Game suddenly finds himself quite high on the food chain.

The first episode of Monday Night Raw in the post-Vince era will go down tonight from Madison Square Garden in New York at 8pm ET.
