On Monday, Hasbro revealed a pair of new Star Wars Black Series figures from the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Both will be Walmart exclusives (ugh), cost $27.99 (UGH), and go up for preorder on July 18 at 10:00 AM ET. The figures are expected to allegedly be available at retail this fall.

Qui-Gon Jinn (Force Spirit)

Hasbro’s official description:

At the end of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s long journey, he encounters the spirit of his old friend and mentor: venerable Jedi Master and student of the living Force, Qui-Gon Jinn. Fans and collectors can display this fully articulated figure featuring premium detail and multiple points of articulation in their collection.

Notice how they don’t say anything about “entertainment-inspired accessories.” That’s because there are none. This would normally cross any overpriced exclusive figure off my potential buy list, but my wife is a huge Qui-Gon fan. That said, there’s no way I’m preordering on July 18. Walmart has canceled far too many of my orders to trust the process again anytime soon.

Obi-Wan Kenobi (Jedi Legend)

Although still grossly overpriced, this is a fantastic figure with some really cool accessories — including the Skyhopper model ship that Obi-Wan gives to Luke. You better believe I’ll be picking this one up…if it ever goes on sale/clearance.
