Empiria creator David K. Wilson is hitting the road for a West Coast signing tour leading into San Diego Comic-Con, giving fans several opportunities to meet the filmmaker, writer, and comics creator while also confirming a scheduling update for the series.
Wilson will visit comic shops across Washington, Oregon, and California before arriving in San Diego for Comic-Con International. Alongside the tour announcement, AIPT can also confirm that Empiria #3 has been delayed and will no longer release on September 2, 2026. A new release date will be announced at a later time.
The tour begins Saturday, July 18, at Subspace Comics in Lynnwood, Washington, followed by Cosmic Monkey Comics in Portland, Oregon, on Sunday, July 19. Wilson then heads to Southern California for appearances at Golden Apple Comics in Los Angeles on Wednesday, July 22, and We Can Be Heroes in Chatsworth on Thursday, July 23.

Wilson will also take part in two San Diego Comic-Con panels exploring the growing relationship between comics, games, and crowdfunding.
On Friday, July 24, he’ll appear on Modern Fanatic: Crowdfandom: The Future of Pop Culture in the Hands of Fans from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Room 29CD. The panel will feature Kickstarter’s Sean Edgar and Asher McClennahan, Stranger Comics publisher Sebastian Jones, Brian David Marshall, Michael Walsh of Wayves Creative Co., and other creators discussing how crowdfunding is shaping the next generation of pop culture.
Then on Saturday, July 25, Wilson joins Ever Expanding Worlds: Comics and Games Collide! from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Grand 12 & 13 at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. The panel focuses on the growing crossover between tabletop gaming and comics, with guests including Drew Kafoury, Brian David Marshall, and additional creators from both industries. Attendees will receive a copy of Summoner Wars #1 along with an exclusive playable card unavailable anywhere else.
