BOOM! Studios’ WWE series will shift focus to the Women’s Revolution

The Four Horsewomen will take center stage in Dennis Hopeless’s acclaimed series.

Dennis Hopeless and Serg Acuna’s critically acclaimed WWE comic book series is shifting its focus from The Shield to the Women’s Revolution.

At New York Comic Con, BOOM! Studios announced that the new story will begin in WWE #14. Hopeless and Acuna will still be at the helm, providing readers with an inside look into the transformational period that retired the "Divas" moniker and ushered in the era of women.

Naturally, to tell a story about the Women’s Revolution, you have to focus on WWE’s Four Horsewomen: Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Bayley. While three of the four have appeared in the WWE series in the past, this marks the first time their story is the central focus.

Chris Rosa, Associate Editor of BOOM! Studios, said: "It’s been amazing to watch women in the WWE make history night after night over the past couple years, and we’re so excited to give the WWE Universe even more of the Women’s Revolution. The team is ready to give fans a new look at the incredible moments and matches that have inspired so many.”

WWE #14 hits stands in February, 2018. Until then the series will continue to focus on Roman Reigns and the rest of The Shield. Check out the cover, including the Horsewomen, Paige, the Bella Twins and more, below:
