Eggsy: super spy and… babysitter? Finding himself on not-so fantastic terms with British Intelligence, Eggsy finds other ways to keep himself occupied. Luckily for him the world is in danger yet again and his services, although not wanted, are needed. Rob Williams and Simon Fraser bring another action-packed Kingsman story to life as we follow our dapper spy to New York City. Is it good?
I absolutely love the humor involved in the Kingsman stories. This one is no exception, except maybe the initial humor is a bit disgusting. Having kids of my own I can totally — and unfortunately — relate to the uncontrollable situation our hero finds himself in: babysitting. Since he’s not working, he has apparently taken on the task of watching his little brother. Yeah, it’s gross but completely hilarious.
The basic idea here is that Eggsy is on “leave” and not by choice. He ends up going to what I guess is a secret weapons storage facility to use the loo — his brother isn’t feeling too hot. There’s a hacker on the loose doing something he’s not supposed to be doing, so against the better judgment of those in charge they send Eggsy to solve the problem.
The story never loses momentum. The one liners are there, the completely ridiculous situations, the utter lack of charm exuding off our spy — it’s a perfect mix, and Williams does a fantastic job showcasing each and every personality. It also showcases one of my favorite C words.

I’m really enjoying Fraser’s stylistic choices in these issues. I know I said in my last review that his artwork fits well with the story and it definitely holds true again. I was paying more attention to his facial work and the shading for expressions is just amazing. Gary Caldwell did an excellent job choosing the color for each panel and person. Random addition here, but I love the red color that pops out from certain panels.
This is just a well put together issue. It’s got a great story and it’s thoroughly entertaining. I’d have to say even better than the first issue.
