Batman and Superman team up for a double date in ‘Batman #37’

Batman and Superman’s latest team-up might be their most important one of all time: a double date with Catwoman and Lois Lane.

The most crucial decision in the latest issue of Batman wasn’t who would take the credit for saving the day or even which tactics to utilize in a fight against the bad guys — it was who should make the first phone call regarding news of Batman’s recent engagement to Catwoman.

By issue’s end Batman and Superman made amends and in Batman #37 it looks like the two iconic heroes will be taking part in another type of team-up that’s different from their standard fare: a double-date with sweethearts Catwoman and Lois Lane. The following tweet from writer Tom King shows a sneak peek at the foursome’s night on the town (with art from Clay Mann):

They clean up well, don’t they?

From the official DC synopsis:

“SUPERFRIENDS” part two! The stunning conclusion to the two-part story. Torn apart by betrayal, Batman and Superman try to find a way back to friendship, to trust. Both understand that the future of the DCU depends on this relationship; both understand that without the help of the other, their lives will fall apart. And yet, one is still the spoiled rich boy, and the other is still the naive farm boy. Men from two worlds confront each other and try to see the hope behind the madness.

Batman #37 hits shelves on December 20th, 2017.
