M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Unbreakable’ and ‘Split’ sequel ‘Glass’ gets a teaser poster

Get a first look at the ‘Glass’ movie poster.

Back before Marvel Studios took over the superhero movie business M. Night Shyamalan made a movie in 2000 called Unbreakable. It starred Bruce Willis and took superheroes seriously. It was the first time a superhero story was done in a way that seemed logical and realistic. For years Shyamalan and Bruce Willis talked about making a sequel but one never came. Then Shyamalan came out with the excellent Split in 2016. Fans were excited about something more dark and twisted and were lucky enough to find a certain Bruce Willis character showing up in the very last minutes. It was a secret sequel of sorts and it got Unbreakable fans more excited than ever.

Enter Glass, a film due out January 18, 2019 that is undoubtedly a sequel to Split and Unbreakable. Aside from a few details revealing it would include Samual L. Jackson’s Mr. Glass, the villain from Split and Bruce Willis’ hero from Unbreakable we haven’t had many details. Today, Shyamalan has revealed the poster, which features all three on the poster.

From what we can tell from this teaser poster all three are locked up in an asylum while their reflections in the waxed floor reveal they’re super-powered alter egos. Make no mistake Shyamalan is continuing the realistic take on superheroes in a world that doesn’t believe they exist. The question is, why is Bruce Willis’ character chained when James McAvoy’s character is the dangerous one?

We’ll find out more when the first trailer arrives July 20th from Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con.
