July 11, 2018’s 5 in 5: The five comic books you should buy this week

Nick Spencer’s run on Amazing Spider-Man starts today!

Welcome to a bittersweet day, as we unveil the final edition of 5 in 5 as we know it. Fear not — our video content is not going away, but we thought, why limit ourselves to just five minutes? Stay tuned next week for an announcement at SDCC regarding the future of our comic book video content!

But that’s next week. This week, we’re looking at some major releases in comic books, including the beginning of Nick Spencer’s run on Amazing Spider-Man, which is so important it got a nice shiny #1 slapped on the cover. Other than that, Marvel is continuing Gail Simone’s excellent (and dare I say, adorable?) run on Domino with issue #4.

Image Comics cleans up big this week, with another issue of the intriguing Port of Earth series from Zack Kaplan, and Robert Kirkman’s Oblivion Song. Rounding out the top five is DC’s Titans #23.

If you like what we’re doing here, be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel, like, comment and share. 5 in 5 may be going away in name, but we’ll be back next week with even more to love on our YouTube!
