Finally, The Rock has returned to his show, SmackDown. The People’s Champ himself confirmed via his Twitter account that he will be on hand for this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, marking the blue brand’s move to broadcast television.

“There’s no greater title than #thepeopleschamp,” The Rock wrote, “and there’s no place like home.”
SmackDown‘s move to Fox is just one of many huge happenings in professional wrestling this week, as Raw will host its “season premiere” tonight and All Elite Wrestling’s Dynamite show debuts on TNT Wednesday. Add in SmackDown‘s historic move to the Fox network, and you have one of the most hyped weeks in wrestling history.
Friday’s SmackDown is one of the most anticipated and important episodes in the show’s history, but it wouldn’t quite be the same without The Great One, whose catchphrase the show is named after. Rock joins an already studded lineup, as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar and many others will be on hand for the debut, which is also functioning as a celebration of the show’s 20th anniversary.
