Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #5

This was a fantastic conclusion to an amazing crossover miniseries that delivered on the wildest dreams of every ’90s kid. Heroic deeds triumph in the face of evil, brilliant mash ups with powers and zords…and of course, pizza! (10/10)

Christmas and Cole have made each issue a genuine joy to read. It’s simple storytelling, but holds itself atop complex crafting that brings this fluidity. If you haven’t picked up this series, start buying it, because it’s so worth the money. (9.5/10)

I had a blast with this finale as it reminds us Scott and Cassie only got closer as heroes. The villain is epic and it takes epic love and courage to take him down. This will give you the warm and fuzzies you want when reading a comic with your kiddo. (9.5/10)

Dark Nights: Death Metal #1 is a boisterous blend of dynamic riotous visuals, ideas, and intriguing storytelling twists. It reads like anyone can pick it up for the wacky, crazy ideas, be absorbed enough in the plot developments to keep reading along with longtime readers, and excite in sharing in something brand new. (9/10)

Strange Adventures #2

This is a fascinating series thanks to the duo artistic team, the meditative approach to its characters, and the deeper meaning underlining everything. King is incredible at writing subversive stories that surprise and intrigue you later, when you think hard on what you’ve read. It’s a reading experience that is very rewarding. (8.5/10)
