Hulu renews ‘Solar Opposites’ and ‘Crossing Swords’

Get ready for more sci-fi and fantasy adult animated comedy fun.

A pair of Hulu’s original adult animated series have been picked up for additional seasons. Both Solar Opposites, which premiered last month, and Crossing Swords, which premiered last week, will be returning to the streaming service.

Created by Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan of Rick and Morty fame, Solar Opposites became the most watched original comedy premiere for Hulu. It was originally ordered straight to series for two seasons consisting of 16 episodes total. Now the show has been renewed for a third season that will have 12 episodes.

Crossing Swords is another animated show on the streaming platform that has a strong pedigree. It is created by Tom Root and John Harvatine IV, who have worked on Robot Chicken. The series will have a second season made up of ten episodes.
