Movies about UFOs and aliens can get pretty cut and dry. Someone starts to see mysterious things, they tell everyone else, and no one believes a word of it. It is a pretty easy formula that manages to keep audiences interested. The Vast of Night does things a little differently. The movie focuses more on characters on story than it does on special effects. It builds a story in a way that is similar to a radio drama. But is that a good thing?
