Dynamite Entertainment has responded to growing backlash over their decision to promote an Indiegogo for a creator-exclusive cover featuring a Comicsgate-affiliated character alongside two of Dynamite’s iconic characters, Red Sonja and Vampirella, announcing that they are no longer moving forward with the campaign.
"In speaking with Cecil, neither one of us realized the cover would be so polarizing. We discussed and are not moving forward with the cover or the campaign." – Nick Barrucci, CEO & Publisher of Dynamite

Dynamite CEO and Publisher Nick Barrucci issued a statement on the publisher’s Twitter account, saying “In Speaking with Cecil, neither one of us realized the cover would be so polarizing. We discussed and are not moving forward with the cover or the campaign.”
This statement comes after multiple comic book creators and websites denounced the campaign and vowed to cut ties with the publisher, including writer Mark Russell.
While the original tweet from Dynamite endorsing the campaign has been deleted, the Indiegogo campaign itself is still live.
