This week’s Mando Monday reveal brought us the long awaited Star Wars: Black Series figure for Bo-Katan Kryze along with a few archive releases.
Since Bo-Katan is the one we all were scrambling to preorder today, let’s take a look at her first.
Bo-Katan Kryze (Black Series)
The figure, which is based on her appearance in The Mandalorian, comes with two blasters, a jetpack, and a removable helmet featuring the Nite Owl insignia.
The sculpt and weathering on Bo-Katan’s armor look fantastic. As far as the face is concerned, it’s not quite as good as I was hoping, but still recognizably based off Katee Sackhoff. The only question now is if I need two for a helmet on/helmet off display. If the in-hand product ends up being just slightly better than this prototype, then I’ll definitely make a second purchase.
Bo-Katan Kryze will retail for $19.99 currently available for pre-order with an expected arrival in spring 2021…at least in theory. The figure is selling out everywhere.
Hasbro also released four figures for its Black Series Archive line featuring characters who have also appeared in The Mandalorian: Tusken Raider, Shoretrooper, Hovertank Driver, and Death Trooper.
While I appreciate the consistency of the theme, I don’t remember any of these very recent releases being hard to find. Whatever the case, they will all retail for $19.99 and are available for preorder at your preferred online retailer with an expected arrival in spring 2021.
