Scout Comics sends ‘Black Cotton’ #1 back for second printing

Scout Comics has revealed they are sending Black Cotton #1 back to print, a series which AIPT reviewer Ronnie Gorham calls a “compelling piece of art that shines a spotlight on numerous topics like prejudice, racism, and black wealth among others.” The six-issue series kicked off its first issue on February 27th.

Scout Comics president James Haick had this to say on the news: “We are so proud that the critically acclaimed Black Cotton #1 is going back to print. It’s such a fantastic series and we want to be sure to get this first issue in our fans hands before the second issue comes out in May.  Request it now at you local comic shop using Diamond order code JAN218878!”

So what’s Black Cotton #1 about?

Set in an alternate reality where the social order of “white” and “black” is reversed, an elitist family, the Cottons, are rocked by a tragic shooting that begins to unravel long standing family secrets that could not only destroy the family but also divide the fragile social climate of the world.
