Marvel Comics is expanding its True Believers Display Box initiative with DNX #1, making it only the second comic to receive the collectible format following this summer’s Queen in Black launch.
The publisher has announced the DNX #1 True Believers Display Box, which follows the same format established by Queen in Black #1. Each display box contains 20 copies of the issue, including 19 sealed True Believers Blind Bags and one exclusive variant cover unavailable through standard ordering channels.
Launching in September, DNX is a five-issue event series by writer Jed MacKay and artist Federico Vicentini. The story sees the X-Men and Fantastic Four joining forces to stop the villainous organization 3K from unleashing the deadly X-Virus on humanity.

Like Queen in Black, the series will also feature True Believers Blind Bags. The sealed bags contain exclusive variant covers that cannot be ordered directly, along with rare sketch covers created by surprise contributors.
To spotlight the launch, Marvel has unveiled a collection of five variant covers by Skottie Young.
Rendered in Young’s distinctive style, the covers pair members of the X-Men and Fantastic Four in a series of playful mashups celebrating the crossover. The regular-order variant features Cyclops and Mister Fantastic, while the Blind Bag-exclusive covers spotlight Kid Omega and Human Torch, Magik and Invisible Woman, and Juggernaut alongside The Thing.
The fifth cover, featuring both the X-Men’s Beast and 3K’s Beast, known as the Chairman, will only be available inside DNX #1 True Believers Display Boxes.

Marvel also confirmed that Young’s cover program will continue throughout the event, with additional covers planned for issues #2 through #5. By the end of the series, the collection will total nine covers.
The announcement further signals Marvel’s growing interest in collectible packaging for major event launches. Earlier this year, Queen in Black #1 became the first comic to receive a True Believers Display Box, which included an exclusive Patrick Gleason variant cover alongside guaranteed exclusive variants within the assortment. No word yet on whether DNX will also get a bouncer like Queen in Black did.
With DNX positioned as the next major mutant event and only the second title to receive the Display Box treatment, Marvel appears to be making the format a centerpiece of its biggest launches.
