Evil Everywhere wastes no time in getting started. After an opening that explains the events of a previous movie called Paura Tutto (the sequel can be understood without seeing the original) a woman recites a chant bringing back an evil that had been killing kids two years prior. It is up to the hero of the earlier film to save the day again.
The film is filled with wooden acting. This is not uncommon in low budget cinema, but it is especially noticeable here. Evil Everywhere has a number of moments when lines are delivered in stilted pauses or with awkward deliveries. Poor performances are not necessarily a deal breaker in horror movies. Evil Everywhere does contain a certain charm. From the appropriate synth music to the over the top kills, the film pays homage to old school scary movies.
Having a small budget and aiming for a retro feel does not forgive a poor script, however. This is the type of movie that could have been fine with the flimsiest of plots. There are plenty of popular horror franchises that go with nonsensical storytelling. Evil Everywhere has a decent one as horror sequels go. Somehow mistakenly unleashes an unspeakable evil that starts killing.
Evil Everywhere still manages to drop the ball. The plot seems to be a bunch of loose ideas lumped together with the overarching plot being about mysterious killings starting up again. It tends to be a little too haphazard, though. Mixed in with some odd editing choices the film is little more than a silly diversion. There is some fun to be found, but the film will not go beyond a niche audience.
