Out in November, Marvel Studios has released the first official Eternals teaser trailer. The highly anticipated but deeply secretive project has had its release date moved multiple times due to the pandemic and only had its cast revealed as recently as 2019. Directed by recent Oscar-winning director Chloé Zhao, the film stars Richard Madden as Ikaris, Angelina Jolie as Thena, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, and lastly Don Lee as Gilgamesh, the Forgotten One.
In the new teaser, we witness the Eternals coming to Earth when humanity is still hunting and gathering but forming small groups. Via narration by Ajak we learn the Eternals have guided humanity for centuries but never truly interfered. Until now!
Somewhat ominously, the teaser features Skeeter Davis’s “End of the World” which may suggest doomsday is coming for Earth and the Eternals are the only heroes who can save us. Or maybe they are the end of us?
Check out the teaser below.
Make sure to stick to the end as we get a scene with the Eternals chatting about the Avengers.
