Podcast aficionados, get ready to return to the Wasteland.
Marvel and SiriusXM announced today (September 21) that their latest scripted podcast series, Wastelanders: Hawkeye, is set to debut on Monday, October 4. The series follows Wastelanders: Old Man Star Lord, which launched this past summer.
For this latest 10-episode series, Marvel has tapped writer J. Holtham (Jessica Jones) as well as director Rachel Chavkin (Hadestown). There’s also an original score from James Harrison Monaco and Jerome Ellis as well as original sound design from One Thousand Birds.
The cast is led up by Manhunter and Avatar actor Stephen Lang as Hawkeye and Sasha Lane as Ash, Hawkeye’s estranged 17-year-old daughter. The rest of the cast includes Michelle Hurd as Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird, Joe Morton as Ringmaster, Lea DeLaria as Raven/Mystique, and Tracie Thomas as Kate Bishop.
The story, which appears to be based primarily on 2018’s Old Man Hawkeye, follows Hawkeye 30 years in the future as he spends his days as a “sideshow freak, re-living the worst day of his life for paying audiences.” But after an unexpected visit from the Brotherhood Traveling Circus, and the appearance of the aforementioned Ash, Hawkeye sets out on a mission to “kill every last person responsible for the deaths of those he loved the most.” Press for the series also promises Hawkeye teaching Ash “what a true hero can really be.”
In a statement, Jill Du Boff, the director of audio at Marvel, said the series promises to be “such a fun and wild ride, and we can’t wait for everyone to hear it.” The show will debut first on the SXM app and Marvel Podcasts Unlimited on Apple Podcasts before becoming available on most major podcast platforms two weeks later.

The weekly one-shots drop throughout December, and feature Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Star-Lord, among others.
