Marvel Comics made a bunch of announcements at the Retailer Panel today, one of which should have X-Men fans cheering. That is to say, Chris Claremont and Salvador Larroca are reteaming for a five-issue series titled X-Treme X-Men #1. The last time these two worked together was on the new story featured in the Claremont Paragon collection. Expect to find the first issue in comic shops November 30th.
“I’m very happy to be teaming up with Chris again to bring back the adventures of the X-Treme X-Men!” Larroca said. “It’s been a long time and I’ve missed this team and this book that I consider a child of mine. I hope fans enjoy what we’re doing with this new run–there’s lots of new histories to tell. This is the book that Chris Claremont fans have been waiting for and I’m proud to once again illustrate his awesome plots. Let’s make this an instant classic!”
The limited series will kick off in November and feature covers by Larroca, Chrissie Zullo, Phil Noto, and Carlos Gómez.
The comic will also feature variant covers as part of Marvel’s new variant cover program kicking off in November 2022. That’ll include:
