Marvel Comics has revealed a new series of Marvel’s Stormbreakers covers are on the way in March and they homage classical art from around the globe. The latest class of Stormbreakers includes Elena Casagrande (Black Widow), Nic Klein (Thor), Jan Bazaldúa (Legion of X), Chris Allen (Miles Morales), Martin Coccolo (Deadpool), Lucas Werneck (Immortal X-Men), C.F. Villa (X-Men), and Federico Vicentini (X Deaths of Wolverine).
March’s covers follow February’s variant cover series featuring Pym Particles at work amongst many Marvel heroes.
Here are the art movements each artist chose to celebrate:
- C.F. Villa: Mexican Muralism
- Elena Casagrande: Russian Fairytale Art
- Martin Coccolo: Pinturas Negras
- Lucas Werneck: Art Nouveau
- Jan Bazaldua: Surrealism

New York, NY— December 21, 2022 — Marvel’s Stormbreakers Class of 2023 are here and bringing their incredible talents to your favorite comic series and characters! This year’s class features a diverse line-up of illustrators who are constantly breaking the mold, and each month they’ll have a chance to flex their skills with an exciting themed variant cover collection.
