DC Comics has revealed the cover art and a few unlettered pages for their upcoming Batman/Catwoman: The Gotham War – Battle Lines #1. Set to release in comic shops on August 29th. It’s the kick-off to the Gotham War crossover event. The one-shot prelude is crafted by a bevy of creators including Chip Zdarsky, Tini Howard, Mike Hawthorne, Adriano Di Benedetto, and Romulo Fajardo Jr.

This opening one-shot prelude to “The Gotham War” features a main cover by Batman series artist Jorge Jiménez, with art by Mike Hawthorne and Adriano Di Benedetto (“The Bat-Man of Gotham”). The issue also features variant covers by Joe Quesada, Kael Ngu, Otto Schmidt, and Jonboy Meyers. Fans can visit their local comic book shop for availability and pre-ordering.
