Courtesy of Mad Cave, AIPT can announce GATCHAMAN #0 Free Comic Book Day edition featuring a cover by Inaki Miranda. Free Comic Book Day takes place on May 4, 2024, with many publishers already releasing details on what they’ll have in stores.

“My love of GATCHAMAN goes all the way back to childhood. I was obsessed with comic books and cartoons. On TV there was one cartoon that stood out from all the others. It was Battle of the Planets and it just jumped out at me. The look, the designs, the music and of course, the action. Most of the other cartoons paled in comparison, having none of the sheer energy and excitement. Over the years I learned the show was originally called GATCHAMAN and was quite different from its muted American interpretation. Over the years tastes can change but never wavered in my adoration of Gatchaman especially with its long standing influence on anime and the genre. Imitated endless times but never better.
Being part of Free Comic Book Day is unbelievable. The opportunity to reach such a huge batch of potential readers has lit such an incredible creative fire within me. I want every reader to be pulled into this amazing property and its rich history.
It’s been a little bit since I was this excited about working on a comic book. Cullen really understands the property and has come up with a phenomenal story arc that honors the rich history and brings in new dimensions.
