“When I finished work on StarHenge: The Dragon and The Boar, it became really clear that several of the characters had bigger stories worth telling. I wanted to know much more about Daryll, for instance! But the story of what happened next with the Ur-Queen seemed like it just ran right off the end of that first volume, and I became a little obsessed with her lonely battle amongst the stars against the implacable might of the CAST.”
