This is just from AIPT: IDW’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto #1 has sold over 100,000 copies! It has been a huge year for TMNT, as the relaunch of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 received 300k orders from retailers. (For comparison, ABSOLUTE BATMAN #1 received 250k.) It’s also the 40th anniversary, and IDW has supported the line with a new series and exciting new creative teams.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto #1 is set to debut in comic book shops on November 20th. Written by Caleb Goellner with art by Hendry Prasetya, the first issue features a cover by Jorge Jimenez!
So what’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto #1 about?
When teenage reporter April O’Neil has a clandestine meeting with Tsunade, the leader of the Hidden Leaf Village, it garners the attention of Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi. They aren’t the only ones who are wondering what the two women were discussing, though. The sinister Foot Clan have their own interest in April’s visit, as they think she might hold the valuable information on mutation research being conducted by the scientist Baxter Stockman. With April caught between the forces of the Hidden Leaf Village and the Foot Clan, it can’t be long before the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show up to lend her a hand!
