TMNT Tuesday returns this week, and we have an extra special edition with first thoughts and a preview of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #10.
Out next week (July 16), the issue takes a turn, with half of it unfolding as a courtroom drama. With an advance copy in hand, I can safely say this is a must-read for those following along since issue #1. The story comes full circle as the Ninja Turtles realize they’re stronger when they fight together, a key theme that drives the first half of the issue. As we come closer to the end of the story arc, it’s clear the troubles of these brothers are starting to iron out, which will satisfy fans of their usual status quo. Of course, they still bicker, as they are brothers after all.
The second half shifts into unexpected territory, unfolding as a tense and sometimes hilarious courtroom drama. Donnie’s defense takes an angle that suits him, but may surprise readers, while Raph has multiple chances to let his fists and temper fly.
Artist Juan Ferreyra once again delivers standout visuals, particularly with clever layout choices, such as using prison bars to frame key scenes. With the showdown against Hale fast approaching, this issue balances heart, humor, and high-stakes tension.
