This November, Jimmy Palmiotti returns to two of Marvel’s most iconic street-level heroes in Daredevil/Punisher: The Devil’s Trigger, a five-issue limited series under the Marvel Knights banner. Teaming up with rising star artist Tommaso Bianchi (Thunderbolts: Doomstrike), Palmiotti delivers a brutal new chapter in the ongoing ideological war between Daredevil and the Punisher.
When the Punisher targets the resurging Gnucci crime family with his trademark vengeance, Daredevil is forced to intervene before the bloodshed tears Hell’s Kitchen apart. What follows is a high-stakes clash between two vigilantes who want justice—but on very different terms.
“It’s been a blast stepping back into this world,” Palmiotti said. “These characters mean a lot to me, especially given my roots in the Marvel Knights era. This story dives deep into the moral tension that defines both Frank Castle and Matt Murdock—and pushes that tension to its breaking point.”
As Frank escalates his war on crime, Daredevil watches a new wave of criminal syndicates rise in the Gnucci family’s place. It’s law vs. lethal force, justice vs. vengeance, and neither side is backing down.
“It’s a philosophical brawl as much as it is a physical one,” Palmiotti added. “Writing this has been a thrill—it’s brutal, it’s thoughtful, and it’s everything I love about these characters.”
