DC is taking two of its most beloved animated icons into uncharted territory this fall with Batman/Static: Beyond, a six-issue Elseworlds limited series launching November 12, 2025. Written by Evan Narcisse (Rise of the Black Panther) with art by Nikolas Draper-Ivey (Static: Shadows of Dakota), the series unites Terry McGinnis, the high-tech protector of Neo-Gotham, with Virgil Hawkins, the electrifying hero shaping Dakota City’s future, for a futuristic team-up unlike anything fans have seen before.
The debut issue finds Terry safeguarding the neon skyline while Virgil spearheads the launch of the Q-Wave Energy Grid, a breakthrough meant to usher Earth into an interplanetary alliance known as the Cooperative. But when a shadowy villain triggers a catastrophic blackout, the Justice League Beyond’s newest pairing must adapt fast, without the tech they’ve come to depend on, to prevent chaos from consuming the planet.
Packed with cyberpunk grit, crackling powers, and high-stakes drama, Batman/Static: Beyond promises to explore what happens when two very different heroes are forced to trust each other in a future where technology may no longer be a crutch, but a trap.
