Saving the Realm
The team at Critical Role adapted their Dungeons & Dragons campaign into an adult animated fantasy television series. After the positive reception of The Legend of Vox Machina, they are hoping their latest venture, The Mighty Nein, can follow similar success.
The story follows a party of fugitives and outcasts including a “a homeless wizard,” “an inebriated goblin,” “a shipwrecked sailor,” “a cocky ringmaster,” “a temperamental monk,” and “chaos incarnate.” This dysfunctional group must learn to work together in order to save their land from a dangerous threat that wields a powerful arcane relic.
The first three episodes of The Mighty Nein release Wednesday, November 19, on Prime Video.
College Is in Session
On the first season of A Man on the Inside, Charles Nieuwendyk is looking for some excitement in his retired life. He takes the opportunity to go undercover at a senior community in order solve a theft. In the latest season, Charles has another case to solve.
A university president receives blackmail threats and enlists Charles to find the culprit by going undercover as a professor. There is no shortage of suspects, but the investigation is diverted when Charles begins to have romantic feelings towards a colleague in the music department. Things become complicated when his love interest may have ties with the blackmail.

A Family on the Run
The Assassin is a high-octane thriller that released in the UK and Australia earlier this year. Now the series from Harry and Jack Williams (Fleabag, The Tourist, The Missing) will make its United States premiere.
The story revolves around a retired assassin named Julie. Her quiet existence is threatened when her son comes to visit with questions about his father. At the same time, her violent past comes to haunt her when a contract is placed on her head. Now she is on the run with her son sorting out their familial issues while evading dangerous hitmen.
The U.S. premiere of The Assassin is Thursday, November 20, on AMC+.
