Performing on Stage
Everyone pursuing a career in musical theater dreams of making it on Broadway. There is no other stage bigger. However, once you make it, no other place can really compare. Imagine trading the bright lights of New York for a small town production.
That’s what happens to to Charlie Summers in Happiness. After a career of 20 years working his way up to director, he soon finds himself back in his home town living in his childhood room. He decides to help his mom at the local theater where he finds that the cast and crew may not be as professional as the people he is accustomed to working with, but they definitely have as much passion for the art.
The first two episodes of Happiness air Sunday, December 14, on PBS.
