Marvel Comics and Toho International are taking their cosmic crossover to thunderous new heights in Godzilla: Infinity Roar #3, and AIPT has your exclusive first look at what’s coming next.
Launching its first issue on February 4th, written by Gerry Duggan with art by Ig Guara, the third chapter of the five-issue event finds Godzilla’s galactic rampage crashing straight into the realm of the gods.
KNULL X GODZILLA: ALL-OUT ASSAULT ON ASGARD!
Godzilla’s destruction reaches the Rainbow Bridge itself as Thor rallies Asgard’s defenses against the King of the Monsters. But amid the chaos, Knull makes his move, slipping away to enact a terrifying plan to spread his symbiotes across the galaxy. With realms and realities at stake, even Odin may not be enough to stop what’s coming as gods and kings collide.
Meanwhile, far from Asgard, Doctor Doom is quietly advancing a scheme of his own—one that could shift the balance of power across the cosmos in ways no one can predict.
The issue features a main cover by Ken Lashley and a Cosmic Variant Cover by Dave Rapoza, and arrives in stores on April 15.
Reflecting on the partnership, Kristin Parcell, General Manager of Toho International, shared:
“It’s always exciting to see Godzilla integrated into other properties and franchises, as it highlights the versatility of the character,” Parcell said. “That’s why we’re thrilled to continue to partner with Marvel on the Infinity Roar series. Marvel has been an exceptional collaborator, and their team has done an outstanding job reimagining Godzilla and continuing to bring this rich lore to comic book fans.”
From Earth to the Stars
First revealed during Marvel’s New York Comic Con Retailer Panel, Godzilla: Infinity Roar picks up after Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe, escalating the destruction far beyond Earth. Banished into space by Earth’s heroes, Godzilla instead collides with Knull, the King in Black—a pairing first teased in Godzilla vs. Spider-Man #1. The result is one of the most dangerous transformations in Godzilla’s history, igniting a galactic war that spans Wakanda’s empire in space and threatens the Shi’ar, Kree, and Skrull civilizations alike.
As Duggan previously teased:
“Most movie stars are a giant pain in the ass, but not Godzilla, who has been a privilege and a joy to collaborate with, and the fun will continue in outer space. The ideas in the mix now are going to make this the biggest, craziest, and most dangerous Godzilla crossover ever. The Marvel Universe has never been in more peril! See you in space.”
Godzilla: Infinity Roar #3 (of 5) goes on sale April 15, with preorders available now at local comic shops.
