Jason Pearson’s legendary ‘Body Bags’ returns in massive Artist’s Edition fans won’t want to miss

Skybound and Image Comics, in partnership with Scott Dunbier’s Act 4 Publishing and Keven Gardner’s 12-Gauge Comics, have announced Jason Pearson’s Body Bags Artist’s Edition, an oversized collection celebrating the influential creator’s work. The Artist’s Edition is scheduled to arrive in comic shops on September 23, 2026.

The release gathers more than 240 pages from Pearson’s acclaimed comic Body Bags in a 12” x 17” format. The collection features the full miniseries alongside short stories, covers, promotional artwork, and additional material. Set in a near-future world centered on bounty hunters and contract killers, Body Bags explores the fractured relationship between Clownface and his daughter Panda. The series resonated with readers during its original release and has continued to grow in reputation over time.

Pearson both wrote and illustrated the series, viewing Body Bags as the project that would define his career. The Artist’s Edition also includes scans of Michael Golden’s covers from the original Body Bags miniseries.

Artist’s Editions are designed to present original comic artwork in its closest printed form. While the pages appear in black and white, the artwork is scanned in color to capture production details such as ink tones, blue pencil markings, and other elements visible in original pages. The artwork is reproduced at its original size, offering readers a detailed view of Pearson’s craft.
