Jubilee and Wolverine uncover the ‘Tomb of Apocalypse’ in new 2026 Marvel series

From his exile in space, the shadow of the mutant called APOCALYPSE looms over all life on the pale blue dot from whence he hailed.

Apocalypse is stepping back into the spotlight. From his seat on Arakko, the ancient mutant sets a new plan in motion in Tomb of Apocalypse #1, recruiting Jubilee for a high-stakes mission tied to a mysterious Celestial artifact. The new series comes from writer Ashley Allen and artist Domenico Carbone.

The story begins when a strange device from Mars crashes near Haven House. Jubilee takes the lead, eager to prove she can handle more than watching over the Outliers. When her powers activate the device, she and Wolverine are transported across the globe to an excavation site in Egypt. Waiting beneath the surface is the Tomb of Apocalypse, where armed mercenaries are already digging for answers.

As Jubilee and Wolverine push deeper underground, they begin to uncover what Apocalypse has in store for mutants, Earth, and Arakko. They also find they are not alone, with allies like Rictor and Shatterstar crossing their path as the mystery unfolds.

Allen and Carbone draw from years of X-Men history, weaving together threads from multiple eras while putting Jubilee at the center of the story. The series promises a dangerous maze filled with puzzles, deadly threats, and major consequences for those who enter.

“For Earth’s mutants, it has taken time to regroup and process the fall of Krakoa,” said Allen. “But unfortunately for our heroes, Apocalypse values action. And he’s never been one to miss out on an opportunity.”
