#5: Is Ted OK? #4

‘Is Ted OK?’ #4 goes even bigger than ever as the story explodes in directions strange and magical

After a massive third issue, ‘Is Ted OK’ outdoes itself once more, achieving dizzying heights of sci-fi madness while grounding the story in the increasingly personal.

#4: The Ultimates #24

‘The Ultimates’ #24 comes full circle

The Ultimates #24 ends just as the series began, with a gloriously illustrated subversion of Marvel lore and a full circle moment with some of the team’s members. While I could have easily read more of this series, it still remains one of the best entries in the new Ultimate Universe.

#2: The Sentry #3

‘The Sentry’ #3 is a quiet, tragic emotional journey

The continued tease and terror of the Void is building, and it’s clear there will be an explosive, heart-wrenching ending for Sentry in the final issue of this four-part miniseries.

#1: Absolute Wonder Woman #20

‘Absolute Wonder Woman’ #20 is a redemption

As things come to an end, I’m very excited to see how this book evolves. I feel that Thompson and Sherman listen and learn from the criticism sent their way and want to grow and evolve with Absolute Wonder Woman, which tells me that this comic will be running long-term. Absolute Wonder Woman #20 is a fantastic conclusion to “Season of the Witch” and a brilliant setup for what’s next.
