NiFe WARS launches NFC-authenticated collectibles platform with blind bags

The NiFe WARS blind bag release featuring the new authentication technology arrives June 24, 2026.

A new technology initiative aims to connect physical comics and digital collecting through NFC authentication embedded in every copy of an upcoming NiFe WARS release.

NiFe WARS has announced the launch of NiFe WARS COLLECT, a new NFC authentication and digital collectibles platform that will debut alongside the publisher’s upcoming comic blind bag release on June 24, 2026.

According to the company, every comic included in the limited 5,000-unit blind bag run will contain an embedded NFC chip tied to a unique digital identity. The initiative applies across the entire print run, including standard covers, artist variants, and holo chase editions.

NiFe WARS describes the platform as a way for collectors to authenticate and register ownership of physical collectibles using a smartphone. After tapping the embedded chip, collectors can activate a digital profile through the NiFe WARS COLLECT website without requiring a separate app.

The company says each NFC chip contains a unique cryptographic signature connected to a specific comic, creating a permanent ownership record tied to that individual copy.

The June release marks the first rollout of the technology, with NiFe WARS positioning the platform as a bridge between physical collecting and digital experiences. The publisher also noted that collectors who activate their books will unlock additional lore content, discounts, and early access opportunities connected to future releases.

For rarer holo variants, the platform will offer tiered digital experiences designed to reflect the scarcity of the physical editions.

NiFe WARS says the system was developed in response to ongoing concerns surrounding authentication and provenance within the collectibles market. Rather than relying on certificates of authenticity or third-party verification after production, the company has embedded authentication directly into each collectible before distribution.

The platform will also verify numbered editions. According to the publisher, collectors will be able to confirm where a specific numbered variant falls within a limited print run through the associated NFC registration.

“NiFe WARS COLLECT changes what it means to own a NiFe WARS collectible. The physical card is the beginning — the NiFe WARS COLLECT profile is where ownership becomes permanent, verified, and alive. We built this from the ground up for our collectors and we are just getting started,” said Scott Herman, Co-Founder of NiFe WARS.

“We have been building toward this since day one. NiFe WARS COLLECT is the bridge between the physical universe and the digital one — and NiFe WARS is the first original IP to ship it at scale. Every NiFe WARS collectible is now more than a physical object. It is a key,” added Ian Bentley, CEO and Co-Founder of NiFe WARS.

The NiFe WARS blind bag release featuring the new authentication technology arrives June 24, 2026.
